Jesus in the Rubble - hosted on an external website: An in-depth, chapter by chapter, review of the book "Why Darwin Matters to Christians" by the Rev. Adrian Bailey. This little know book is a clear example of what happens to a persons theology when they seek to blend Darwin's doctrine with Christianity. Adrian's book is the most honest statement by a theistic evolutionist I have come across, but he is also very confused in his thinking. [2014]
Why didn’t Adam die on the day that he sinned? The need for Christ to die as the Redeemer is linked directly in the New Testament to the sin of the first man Adam. In Romans 5 and 1 Corinthians 15 the apostle Paul makes a direct connection between the death introduced by Adam and the need for Jesus Christ to make life available to all. In Rom. 5:19 he put it this way, “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” It is astonishing therefore that today many who call themselves Evangelicals question the historical existence of that first man. This article considers the importance of the act of atonement which not only prevented Adam’s physical death, but also enabled him not to be spiritually isolated from his Creator. The European Union and the Book of Genesis In December 2011 David Cameron broke ranks with the European Union and as a result was cheered by many people in Britain. Others were not so pleased, accusing him of having weakened the nation's influence on the continent. Amongst Bible-believing Christians, some almost certainly criticised him, but perhaps more would see the potential demise of the EU as something to be welcomed, the majority citing passages from the Book of Revelation as the justification for their Euro-scepticism. This article considers why Christians need to grasp the relevance of the early chapters of Genesis to the EU and similar organisations, in order to have a good understanding of global political trends. Had Jesus forgotten how the universe was created? A Bible college student asked, “I have been told that the New Testament states that Christ emptied Himself when he came to earth. Does this mean that as a man he forgot all He knew when He was in heaven? If so could He have been wrong when He spoke about the beginning of Genesis being a true record of history?” What is the answer to this question? [Creation Research: 2012]
How many ‘greats’ go before ‘grandfather’ between Adam and me? I was first asked this by my youngest son a few years ago. Since then it has come up several times. the answer may be very surprising to many people. [Creation Research: 2012]
If God is all powerful, why doesn’t He just forgive people? In 2011, on Revelation TV, Richard Dawkins described the death of Christ as “hideous and demeaning”. A few weeks later on BBC 1 he referred to the same event in this way, “Is that not the most disgusting idea you have ever heard?” This article answers Dawkins’ arrogance, pointing out that atheism has no means of supplying justice for those who have been wronged. [Creation Research: 2011]
What type of God would choose to use evolution? The media very much made 2009 'Darwin's year' with its double celebration of his birthday and the publication of his book. Evangelicals who seek to shape the Bible to fit Darwin's theory were also hard at work publishing books and speaking at events. this article asks important questions of those who insist the God of the Bible did not create the universe in six days through The Word, but used millions of years of death, sickness and violence. [Creation Research: 2009]
Hallmarks of the Creator Atheists regularly claim that there is no evidence for God. However, do they know what criteria evidence for God would have to meet to satisfy them? This article looks at what the design of the universe tells us, not so much about the absolute necessity for a designer, but about their nature and power. It also considers the consequences of their creation being handed over to people who wanted to run the world their way not God's! [Creation Research: 2007]
The Media, Intelligent Design and Biblical Creation From 2005 onwards there has been much attention in the media concerning Intelligent Design (ID).
