What Jesus taught about the fear of the Lord.

Matt. 10:28 "And do not fear those who kill the body, but are unable to
kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and
body in hell."

Luke 12:5 :4 "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who
kill the body and after that have no more they can do. :5 But I warn you
who to fear: fear the One who after he has killed has authority to cast
into hell; yes I tell you fear Him!"
is said elsewhere in the New Testament about the fear of the Lord.

Acts 9:31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed
peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the
comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.

Acts 10:35 (Peter speaking :34-43); :34 "I most certainly understand [now]
that God is not one to show partiality, :35 but in every nation the man

and you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited but FEAR; :21 for
if God did not spare the natural branches neither will He spare you.

He is your God, who has done these great and AWESOME things for you which
your eyes have seen.
